Hi, I'm James. It's nice to meet you! I am an instructional designer and learning professional.

I grew up in Silicon Valley, and currently reside in a quaint gold-mining town called Sutter Creek, one hour east of Sacramento. I'm an experienced adult learning professional specializing in instructional design, with experience designing and developing e-Learning, video, instructor-led training, virtual classroom training, and more. I also enjoy making music.

Throughout my career, I have designed and developed many e-Learning courses, microlearning videos, instructor-led training (including training decks, participant guides, and facilitator guides), virtual classroom training, infographics, reference guides, and much more. I've crafted training on a variety of subjects for several industries, designing training both for employees and for external clients. Here are a few examples of my work.

This microlearning video provides some basic tips on using generative AI in instructional design, and was created using ChatGPT and Vyond, featuring narration by me.

Feedback Scenario: Late Again thumbnail

This simple interaction combines video and e-Learning functionality and was created using Articulate Storyline and Vyond, featuring narration by me.

Adobe Audition Tutorial thumbnail

This software tutorial was created using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Vyond. I performed the narration and composed and recorded the quick music "stinger" at the beginning of the course.

On-camera presence thumbnail

This reference guide was created to help employees improve their on-camera presence for virtual presentations and making webcam recordings. I created it using Google Slides and Vyond.
